Discovery of Learning has teamed up with Creative Kids Acting to bring you a virtual acting class for students, 4 years old through adult. Whether your child is curious about acting or wanting to pursue their passion this class is for you.

Class Description

"Acting is Fun"
 
Your child will Learn acting skills, build confidence, stimulate imagination & creativity ,  learn to memorize as well as discipline & focus, they will  become comfortable speaking in front of a group, learn method & meisner techniques.

There is a new class theme monthly, with skills like; Comedy Improv, Scripted Scene Study, Dramatic Scene Study, Method Acting Techniques, Audition and Cold-reading, Scene Breakdown Technique/Expanding Your Imagination, Creating Cool Characters for Movies and Television, and Commercial Technique. They will embrace the art of comedy & comedy improv. Learn on-camera dramatic scene study, practice cold-reading,  learn character building & discover commercial techniques!

Acting Class Sessions:

On-going Monthly Sessions:
 
Classes offered on Mondays, Tuesdays or Saturdays. Time of class is based on evaluation, but offered at 10am, 12noon, 2pm and 4pm.
 

Students placed in appropriate class after evaluation meeting, depending on their age, level of experience in the arts, and outgoingness! Children 4-7 years old start in out parent participation class!

 

Cost:

$125 per month, private pay and charter funds accepted
 

About the teachers

Chris Gilmore is an executive producer, casting director, set coach & teacher. She has been highly respected in Hollywood for years.
 
She teaches Method Acting, Meisner Technique, Comedy Improv & On-Camera techniques. Her work has taken her from Hollywood - to the White House. Chris has over 30 years of experience  - teaching thousands of children!
 
Leo Gilmore is an Award winning casting director, associate producer, & teacher. Leo grew up in the entertainment industry & has taken his knowledge & experience  to work along side Chris for the past 16 years.
