PreK-8th Summer Program

Idaho Locations

Our PreK-8th Summer Program at Discovery of Learning is designed to put good old fashioned camp & TECH FREE fun into your child’s summer! Our classes align to meet your child’s individual learning style. The summer program is currently offered at our Idaho locations only.

Discovery of Learning’s teachers create a warm, welcoming environment that helps each child feel comfortable & confident in opening up to new friendships and peer connections.

Summer Pricing

PreK-8th Summer Program
9:00 am – 4:00 pm
Summer Registration Fee $100 per family due upon enrollment
Program Fees are due prior to the start of each session
2 days/week – $290 / per 3 week session
3 days/week – $475 / per 3 week session
5 days/week – $665 / per 3 week session

Families have the option to attend 1, 2, or all 3 sessions. Your first session program fee is due May 1st, second session due June 1st and 3rd session fee due July 1st. Please note regardless of session chose, first set of fees is due May 1st.

All program & registration fees are non-refundable.

Summer Activities & Classes

Summer Activities: Free Exploration, Old Fashioned Games, Water/ Outdoor Play, and Guest Speakers will be enjoyed daily!

Art, STEAM, Gardening and Nature Studies, Young Entrepreneurs, and Escape Room classes are offered weekly.

Below are the dates for the 2024 Summer Program at our Idaho locations.

Session 1: June 10th – June 28th

(Closed week of 4th of July)

Session 2: July 8th – July 26th
Session 3: July 29th – Aug. 16th

Summer Class Descriptions

Guest Speakers: We will have a variety of speakers to engage your child’s interests and imagination. Speakers will include authors, construction workers, military, business owners, & more.

Follow up extension activities to enhance your child’s understanding of the professional industry related to the speaker.

Old Fashioned Games: Red Rover, Parachute, British Bulldog, Elbow Tag, Capture the Flag, all of the old fashioned games that used to keep children entertained for hours!

Art: We will utilize a wide array of materials to bring your child’s imagination to life in creating quality keepsakes! Throughout the process, we will be teaching your children art appreciation.

S.T.E.A.M: STEAM is an approach to learning and development that integrates the areas of science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics. Through STEAM, children develop key skills including: problem solving, creativity, and critical analysis. Children will be hands-on throughout their learning as they explore different elements of STEAM by executing science experiments, building, and designing.

Gardening and Nature Studies: Children will enjoy learning about the basics of gardening, the science of the plant cycle, observe nature and enjoy extension activities that bring this world to life. Through planting various plants, to creating terrariums and other plant friendly environments, to creating with flowers and other natural items, to plant dissections, the children will enjoy nature with no eyes!

Young Entrepreneurs: We will work as individuals and as a group to come up with great business ideas and learn the process of bringing it to life! Learning about company branding, advertising, production and more! We will build business knowledge, creativity, problem solving and confidence in our own abilities and our own possibilities as a business person.

Escape Rooms: The children will have to work together to solve age appropriate riddles and follow clues in a variety of topics and subjects to solve each escape room. Sure to be a fun way to build problem solving, critical thinking and collaboration skills!

Waterplay: Children will have the option of waterplay, which will include games for an abundance of traditional summer fun.
